Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a commercial valuation cost?

Cost depends on the size and type of property and the purpose of the valuation. Send us the details and we will return a fixed quote the same business day.

How long does the valuation process take?

It depends on the size and scale of the property. Usually up to 10 working days, because of the verification the figure requires: comparable evidence from previously sold or let properties has to be checked with the agents who handled those deals, which means waiting on third parties. A commercial valuation runs longer than a residential survey, and we would rather tell you that up front.

Is the report accepted by HMRC?

Yes. Reports are produced to RICS Red Book standard by a Registered Valuer, and are accepted by HMRC, solicitors, accountants and pension trustees.

Do you cover all of London?

We cover London and the surrounding counties. Send us the postcode and we will confirm straight away.

What qualifications do your valuers hold?

Every valuation is produced by an RICS Registered Valuer. That is an additional qualification on top of standard RICS surveying membership: a member has to apply to the Valuer Registration Scheme, and RICS monitors registered valuers specifically on the quality and independence of their valuation work. MRICS alone does not permit someone to sign a Red Book valuation.
